SEOUL, Aug. 20 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy band Enhypen said Thursday its priority remains delivering the best music to fans, as the group returned as a six-member act following the departure of former member Heeseung.

Members of Enhypen made the remarks at a press conference held a day ahead of the release of its new EP, "The Sin: Bliss," which continues the vampire concept introduced in its seventh EP, "The Sin: Vanish," released in January.

"No matter what changes the team goes through, we always feel the same way," Jungwon said. "From the recording stage, we focused only on how to produce a better album rather than on the number of members."

Following Heeseung's departure in March -- the group now comprises Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon and Ni-Ki.

Jungwon recalled how Engine, the group's fan base, was a major source of support as the group conducted a global tour and prepared for a new album in the months following Heeseung's departure.

"The Sin: Bliss" carries 10 tracks built around the story of a couple coming to realize the bliss of being together.

"It is a concept album. As you listen to the narration and tracks one by one, you will feel as if you are listening to a radio show in a vampire society," Jay said.

The title track "Bloody Paradise" is a Brazilian funk song, featuring raw sounds of friction and electric guitar, that portrays a couple's escape together as a form of "paradise."

Julia Lewis, who produced Bad Bunny's "DtMF," took part in the song, with Gaeko of Korean hip-hop duo Dynamic Duo contributing to the lyrics.

"When we first heard it, we felt it was different from our previous songs," Sunghoon said. "But we had always liked the genre, so it was great to have it as our title track."

When asked about whether the group plans to renew its contract when it expires next year, the members said they will work hard to deliver good news to the fans, adding no detailed discussions have taken place yet.

As the group is meeting fans around the world through its biggest world tour, "Blood Saga," Jake asked fans to look forward to their upcoming activities with the new EP.

"It is the first album we are releasing as a six-member act, and we are really confident. Since we have returned with a fun album, please look forward to what we have in store as well."
