SEOUL, Aug. 31 (Yonhap) -- The latest album from K-pop boy group Enhypen has debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard's main albums chart, earning the group its first chart-topper.

Billboard said in a preview of this week's chart on Sunday (U.S. time) that the band's eighth EP, "The Sin: Bliss," took the top spot on the Billboard 200, ahead of Ella Langley's "Dandelion" and Olivia Rodrigo's "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love."

This marks the first time the group has reached No. 1 since its debut in November 2020.

Before Enhypen, BTS, SuperM, Stray Kids, Ateez and Tomorrow X Together had reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 among K-pop boy groups.

Among girl groups, BLACKPINK, NewJeans, TWICE and Katseye have taken the honor, while the original soundtrack album for Netflix's global hit animation "KPop Demon Hunters" had also led the chart.

"The Sin: Bliss" marks the band's seventh album in the top 10, all achieved since 2022. The act had previously gone as high as No. 2, twice, with "The Sin: Vanish" in January and "Romance: Untold" in 2024.

The Billboard 200 ranks the most popular albums of the week in the United States, measured by equivalent album units comprising physical and digital sales, as well as streaming and digital track downloads converted into album sales.

"The Sin: Bliss" earned 98,000 equivalent album units, with 92,000 coming from album sales, according to Billboard.

Released on Aug. 21, "The Sin: Bliss" is Enhypen's first album since the group was reorganized as a six-member act following former member Heeseung's departure.

The EP surpassed 2.02 million copies in cumulative sales Thursday, making it a double-million seller.

The second installment in Enhypen's "The Sin" album series, which uses sin as its central motif, the album follows the conclusion of a journey faced by two lovers after they break a taboo and flee. The 10-track EP includes lead single "Bloody Paradise" and B-side "Two Fools."

Meanwhile, U.S. country music icon Dolly Parton's greatest-hits collection "Ultimate Dolly Parton" reentered the chart at No. 5 following her death Tuesday.

K-pop girl group Katseye's "Wild" fell five places from No. 1 the previous week, while Stray Kids' "This & That" dropped to No. 8 from No. 3.
